Whether you shoot game or clays, you will love the concept of this exclusive and fun team event. Taking place on a mid summer’s weekend, 16th and 17th June 2012, you will have an ideal excuse to re-unite the syndicate or get together a group of like minded friends once again for some high flying action in very convivial surroundings!
Three organisations, all leaders in their own fields, have joined forces to put on a shooting weekend that will appeal to all sporting shooters - but in particular those that love the thrill of Game Shooting! Browning International, Firs Garage (Mitsubishi) and The Clay Shooting Company will be hosting the Browning L200 Game Challenge at Westfield Shooting Ground (one of the grounds to be used in the World Championships later this year) in the heart of the Glorious Cotswold Hills. The event will be covered exclusively by The Shooting Gazette .
Four man teams will be able to shoot on either day (or both if you’re very keen!). The course consists of five x 150 bird flushes to include crossing partridges, high pheasant, driven grouse, teals and a rook shoot in the woods. During each flush a whistle will blow after 50 birds signalling the guns to stop move up 2 pegs, this will keep it more interesting for each shooter. To test even the top shots, one of the flushes will be shot with a .410 (guns and ammunition provided courtesy of Browning International).
The event will also carry a dress code – ‘Country Shooting Attire’ if you please.
Browning, Firs Garage and The Clay Shooting Company will be putting up an impressive prize pot. Each member of the winning team will receive a new Browning B725 shotgun (worth £1895 each) and the runner up team will receive an 8 man simulated game day package worth £4500. There will also be prizes for the top ladies team and the top .410 Flush score.
To keep things competitive, there will be a max of 2 x AA shots (or above) per team and every team will have the same sequence of birds due to the traps being controlled by a series of electronic remote releases.
The entry fee is £360/team (£90 per person) and includes over 750 targets, .410 guns and cartridges for the .410 team flush, bacon rolls on arrival with tea and coffee available all day and a hog roast feast available from 2pm onwards.
Browning and Firs Garage (Mitsubishi) teams will be on hand during the event providing the opportunity of test driving or test shooting their latest products. Team numbers will be limited – book early to ensure you are part of this can’t miss event!
