Sudeley Castle, Winchcombe
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Cotswold Hills, Sudeley Castle is
steeped in history. With royal connections spanning a thousand years, it
has played an important role in the turbulent and changing times of England’s
past.
Today, Sudeley is the home of Lord and Lady Ashcombe and the Dent-Brocklehurst family. They are dedicated to its continued restoration and the regeneration of the gardens, with particular emphasis on conservation and sustainability.
Sudeley Castle Country Cottages are located on the edge of the estate,
midway between the Castle and the historic town of Winchcombe. This
small attractive complex
of Cotswold stone cottages is set around a central courtyard with landscaped
gardens and ample parking.
The cottages each have their own individual charm. Most have been cleverly restored and converted from existing properties, retaining many original and unique features. The newer cottages are sympathetic in their design and architecture, seamlessly blending into the complex. Sudeley Castle Country Cottages are the ideal choice for a walking or touring holiday or simply as an escape into the Cotswold countryside.
Accommodation is carefully prepared for your arrival, with laundry and bedding supplied. The cottages are comfortably furnished and have well equipped kitchens. There is an information office on site and our housekeeper is on hand throughout your stay.
Properties have access to shared gardens and each has garden furniture supplied. A picnic area complete with barbecues is also situated at the rear of the complex. Travel cots, high chairs and stair gates may be supplied and a laundry service is available. Guests can enjoy complimentary admission to the Castle and Gardens for the duration of their stay (during normal opening hours).
Sudeley Castle Country Cottages are available all year round and short
breaks or longer stays are accepted. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept
pets. All the properties have been awarded an ETC 3 star rating.
